“Buddhism is a way to reveal God. We are all looking for the truth, by different ways, by Buddhism, by Christianity… My job as a missionary is to find what God has revealed of himself according to Buddhism.” Father Francois.

The Brooklyn Monk, Antonio Graceffo, travels to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to interview Father Francois, author of the book, “Cambodia Year Zero” His personal history of the Khmer Rouge takeover. Since 1965, Father Francois has been involved with helping the people of Cambodia. He lived under the Regime of Prince Sihanouk, endured civil war, under General Lon Nol, and was expelled by the Khmer Rouge, three weeks after the take over of Cambodia.

After his expulsion, he stayed with Khmer refugees in France, as well as in the refugee camps in Cambodia and Thailand.
